Specialty Printing

Whether you’d like your stationery letterpressed, embossed, foiled or printed in white ink… The Stationery Boutique can help. With everything done in-house, you know that our little business will be as passionate about your project as you are.

Letterpress

We’ve been using this method of printing for over a century, our machine has been onsite since 1893.

Letterpressing is now being rediscovered by a new generation of artists, designers and brides who have fallen in love with its beautiful effects. If you love traditional elegance, hand-made quality or are after something truly unique, then letterpress is for you.

Foiling

Is the process known as hot foil stamping, where heat is used to transfer metallic foil to a
solid surface. It’s a similar technique to letterpress, in that it ‘stamps’ the elements into the page, but with a much fancier result.

We do not offer the ‘foil laminate’ that some businesses try to pass off as foiling, this is the fair-dinkum 100% proper foiling method.

This method can get a costly dependant on how much area you’d like foiled. Our friendly staff are happy to talk to you about any alternative options there may be for you, or provide you with an obligation free quote!

White Ink Printing

Did you know that normal printers don’t have white ink? Rather, the white you see on documents is often just the absence of ink, showing through the white paper underneath.

More and more recently we’ve seen a rise in requests for invitations that have white writing on a black or navy paper.

As a specialised machine has to be used to print white ink onto coloured stock, you will find this is a costlier method than your normal printing job.

A way around these costs is to still use a white or off-white stock and print a full colour background onto it. So that it has the appearance of being a coloured card with white text printed onto it. If you are unsure on this method, do not hesitate to contact us so that we can show you the options and give you some ideas on pricing.
